Overview Tour

Whether as a lubricant, adhesive, or protective barrier inside the body - thanks to its unique properties, mucus is incredibly adaptable and versatile, which also makes it indispensable for many bodily functions.

During the tour, you’ll learn about the mucus systems in our bodies and the role mucus plays in our health and in the context of disease. We’ll also take a look at various (technical) developments in the medical field where mucus is of essential importance.

Join us as we follow the different trails of mucus and discover the secrets of this underrated bodily fluid.
