This guided tour combines a visit to the special exhibition "SLIME. Secrets of an underrated body fluid" and the permanent exhibition "Tracing life".

In the permanent exhibition, we take you on a journey through 300 years of medical history, where you’ll learn not only about the milestones of medical history, famous figures, and individual patient stories, but also about the missteps and dark sides of medicine.

In the special exhibition “SLIME. Secrets of an underrated body fluid” you’ll learn about the mucus systems in our bodies and the role mucus plays in our health and in the context of disease. We’ll also take a look at various (technical) developments in the medical field where mucus is of essential importance.
