Getting here:

By train (Deutsche Bahn)

The museum can be reached either from the train station at Berlin-Hauptbahnhof or you change at train station Berlin-Ostbahnhof or Berlin-Zoologischer Garten to the rapid transit system (S-Bahn) and get of at Hauptbahnhof or Friedrichstraße. The museum is a 10-minute walk from Hauptbahnhof.

By rapid transit (S-Bahn) and underground (U-Bahn)

All rapid transit trains on the east-west axis stop Hauptbahnhof and Friedrichstraße. The rapid transit lines S 1, S 2 and S 25, as well as the underground line U 6, which all travel in the north-south directions, stop only at Friedrichstraße. The U 6 line also stops at Naturkundemuseum.

The museum is a 10-minute walk from Hauptbahnhof. You leave the Hauptbahnhof in direction "Europaplatz", cross Europaplatz and turn right into Invalidenstraße. Directly after crossing the Canal, you go right and follow the signs for the Berlin Medical Historical Museum.

From the S + U Friedrichstraße the bus 147, direction S + U Hauptbahnhof, takes you to the Charité entrance (3 stops) at Luisenstraße. On foot, you follow the Reinhardtstraße and Luisenstraße to the entrance at Charitéplatz (main check point, information). You follow the drive (Virchowweg) north until you reach the Pathology building, then you follow the signs for the Berlin Medical Historical Museum.

From the underground station Naturkundemuseum (U 6), you reach the Invalidenstraße - passing the Naturkundemuseum you go to Sandkrugbrücke (bridge), turn left at the Canal and follow the Signs to the Berlin Medical Historical Museum (about 12 min. on foot).

By Bus

The museum is easily reached by bus. The entrance at Charitéplatz can be reached on the bus 147 or TXL (bus-stop Karlplatz), the entrance at Luisenstraße also by bus 147, and the entrance at Invalidenstraße by the buses 123, 142, 147 or 245.

By automobile

It is not advisable to arrive by car as there are very few places to park near the Charité. There is only the car park at Phillipstraße/Hannoversche Straße or a parking garage at Luisenstraße  (both subject to fees).
